I am 45, I live in Accra, and I have spent the last six years making short films and longer videos for people who like to watch a woman enjoy herself on camera. Most days I wake up early, drink strong coffee on the balcony while the city wakes, then head to the small studio space I rent above the old cinema. Last week I spent an entire afternoon testing different lights just to see how the glow hits the curve where my waist meets my hips. I like the way people look at me when I wear something barely there and lean forward, like they are already imagining what happens next. I keep my phone on silent during shoots but I always check it the second I finish, hoping for that little green dot from you. When I am not filming I cook late-night jollof rice in nothing but an apron, dance around the kitchen to old highlife records, and text my favorite person pictures of the steam on my skin. I want someone who will watch every second and then tell me exactly what it did to them.
