I grew up outside Portland in a house with too many books and not enough quiet. My mom ran a little bookstore and I spent weekends shelving paperbacks while she made tea that always tasted like cinnamon. At twenty-two I moved to Seattle for a job at a design studio and never left. I spend my days mocking up brand decks on a second monitor while my actual screen has tabs for vintage car forums and the Mariners schedule. Evenings I cook too much pasta and leave half for my roommate who works nights. Right now my car is in the shop so I have been taking the ferry to Bainbridge just to feel wind on my face and come back with salt in my hair. I collect tiny bottles of hot sauce from every city I visit and line them up on my windowsill like trophies. I flirt by asking questions that get a little too personal and then laughing when you answer honestly. I like when someone texts me back fast and when they remember the small things I mention days later. I want someone who can handle me being forward about what feels good and who does not mind that I sometimes need a quiet night with takeout and the game on mute. I keep a camera roll full of half-finished outfits and sunrise ferry rides that I only send when the mood feels right.
