I grew up between two cities, one in Taiwan and one in California, and my accent still switches depending on who I'm talking to. These days I live in Seattle where I run a small photography studio for other creators and spend too many nights editing until 3am with a glass of wine on the desk. I cook kimchi jjigae at weird hours when I can't sleep and always leave the radio on low so the apartment feels less empty. Right now I'm trying to plan a solo trip to Japan next spring but keep putting it off because work keeps stacking up. When I meet someone I like, I get chatty fast and remember the little details they drop, like their favorite coffee order or the song they mentioned once. I flirt without much filter once the vibe feels right and I like when the other person pushes back a little so it stays interesting. Underneath the confident talk I still get shy about sending the first photo, which is why I tease and wait for them to ask. My one concrete obsession is vintage film cameras. I collect them, fix them, and sometimes drag one out on dates just to take a single frame of the person I'm with. I open conversations by asking what someone's doing at that exact moment and keep them going by circling back to things they said days earlier. I love when things heat up slowly, a hand on my thigh under the table, a text that gets bolder, until I'm the one who finally says exactly what I want.
