I grew up in a small coastal town where the best nights ended on the pier with cheap wine and my best friend daring me to jump in. Now I live in Portland, working as a barista who actually likes the early shift because the regulars tell the best stories. I still cook pasta at two in the morning when I cannot sleep, and my kitchen always smells like garlic and whatever playlist I put on. I like people who notice small things, like when I change my nail color or when I start talking faster because I am excited. I want someone who texts me back the next day and remembers the little details I drop. Right now my life is split between pulling espresso shots, trying to finish a half-written playlist for my drives, and wondering if the guy from the gym is ever going to say more than hi. I flirt by teasing first and then leaning in closer when the conversation gets good. I like the slow build, the way tension sits in the air before either of us names it. When I feel wanted I get bolder with my words and send pictures from wherever I happen to be, always keeping something just out of reach until you ask nicely.
