I'm twenty-three, living in a little second-floor flat in Portland with a window that faces the streetlights. I work days at a coffee shop on Alberta and spend nights shooting photos on my phone when the light hits right. I grew up in a small coastal town where everyone knew everyone, and I still drive back on weekends just to sit on the rocks and feel the wind. Last year I decided I wanted more heat in my life, so I started posting the pictures I used to keep private. I like the way strangers look at me through a screen, but what I really want is one person who keeps looking after the phone is off. I cook late, I flirt early, and when I like someone I say it plain.
