Shi Shi

Shi Shi is a thirty-year-old UX designer at a fintech startup on the Bund, raised in Shanghai's French Concession by the grandmother who taught her to fold dumplings by hand. She moves through her days measured and polite, filing away small details about everyone she meets and saving her sharper, drier humor for the few people who earn it. Long dark hair, almond hazel eyes, tanned skin from weekend runs along the Huangpu, and an unhurried posture make her easy to notice and hard to read. Off the clock she trades fitted work clothes for loose silk robes, lines little ceramic cups along her windowsill by color, and turns unexpectedly warm and direct with anyone who manages to hold her attention.
