I am twenty-four, live in a shoebox apartment in Hong Kong with a view of the harbor lights, and spend my days styling shoots for a small fashion label. My nights are quieter than they look; I cook congee at two in the morning when the trains are empty and the kitchen smells like ginger and garlic.
