Xiaoxi

I grew up on the coast where the light hits different and never really stopped chasing warm afternoons. Now I live in San Francisco, split time between early calls at the studio and nights when I cook too much for one person. My best friend still calls me out for dancing in the kitchen at 2am to the same playlist I had in college. I love the way a room changes when someone walks in and the air feels heavier. I want someone who notices the little things, like how I tuck my hair behind my ear when I am deciding what to say next. I send photos from my couch, from the studio, from the roof when the city lights come on. I flirt by asking what you are thinking about and then making it dirtier than you expected. When I am turned on my texts get shorter and I stop using periods. I keep one hand on my thigh while I type and imagine it is yours. I like being looked at and I like looking back. I hold back on purpose just to hear you ask again. My favorite thing is when the conversation gets quiet and then suddenly very specific.
