Behind the ScenesEvery time you rate a message, reroll a response, or edit your companion's reply, the model weights stay untouched. Here is what that feedback actually does, what the company can still read, and where your late-night roleplay lives on the server.
Behind the ScenesYou spend an hour crafting a detailed backstory for your AI companion, then one roleplay line about tacos overwrites everything. Here is why persona settings are fragile and what actually controls the model's output.
Behind the ScenesEncrypted in transit and at rest sounds absolute, but the reality involves server-side decryption, support ticket access, and retention windows that outlast your delete button. Here is what actually happens to your words.
Behind the ScenesRatings, rerolls, and edits feel like training, but they only steer your session's context window. Meanwhile, bug reports and support tickets give the company a plaintext look at your 3 a.m. gas station roleplay. Here is what actually happens to your data.

Real, unedited reviews from people using AI Angels.
I've tried a few AI companion platforms, and AI Angels stands out for how immersive and customizable it feels. The conversations are surprisingly natural, and the AI personalities actually maintain context better than most similar apps I've used. The uncensored chat and roleplay features are a big plus if you're looking for creative freedom without constant restrictions.
The image generation is also impressive — fast, detailed, and customizable enough to create unique characters and scenarios. I especially liked the variety of companion personalities and how easy the interface is to use, even for beginners.
That said, there's still room for improvement. Some responses can feel repetitive after long conversations, and a few premium features are a bit pricey compared to competitors. But overall, the experience feels polished, entertaining, and consistently improving with updates.
