What 3DXChat is
Our 3DXChat review in one line: it is a paid, downloadable 3D social world for adults where the fun depends on the real people you meet, not on a story.
Quick verdict: Pick 3DXChat if you want social roleplay with real adults and enjoy building spaces; skip it if you want a quick browser game. Three details worth knowing: subscriptions run for 1, 6 or 12 months, XGold extras are final and non-refundable, and in October 2026 card payments were paused with crypto offered instead.
3DXChat is a multiplayer 3D virtual world for adults, run by 3DXChat Inc (its footer copyright runs from 2012). Instead of quests, you create an avatar, enter shared locations and meet real people: chat, date, roleplay and have private interactive encounters with other members.
You play through a downloadable client rather than a browser tab. The site also links a Steam wishlist page, a Discord server and a forum.

Is 3DXChat free? Membership price and how it works
| Feature | Membership |
|---|---|
| Price | Paid (check the join page) |
| Platform | Desktop client |
| Payment in Oct 2026 | Crypto; cards temporarily unavailable |
3DXChat is a paid membership product rather than a free-to-play game. When we checked in October 2026, the join page said the payment system was being updated and card purchases were temporarily unavailable, with crypto offered in the meantime. Because of that, we cannot confirm current plans or prices; check the official join page before signing up.

3DXChat subscriptions, XGold and refunds
The terms of use define a subscription as a paid period of 1, 6 or 12 months, which unlocks the game client and full website; without one, the website works with limited features. Separately, an in-game currency called XGold buys optional extras, and the terms say XGold purchases and extras are final and non-refundable.
Refunds for subscriptions are generally not given. The terms list a narrow exception that needs all three conditions at once: you never downloaded or installed the game (no character created), the charge was not an automatic renewal, and you ask within 14 days of purchase. Deleting your account erases progress, XGold and extras. The support FAQ also covers cancelling a subscription, switching plans, alternative payment methods and buying game time for a friend.
3DXChat alternatives and sites like it
If 3DXChat's download and community model is not for you, there are simpler options. Our Booty Calls review covers a free comedy dating sim that runs in a browser, the LifeSelector review looks at choose-your-path live-action scenes, and VR fans should read our Dark Room VR review. Each trades 3DXChat's real-people social world for content that is ready whenever you are.
Our take on 3DXChat
3DXChat is closer to a social network than a game. That is its strength: encounters are with real people, and the world-building tools let a community create its own venues. It also means quality varies with who is online, and you need a capable PC for the client. If you want an always-available partner without waiting for the right person to log in, an AI companion on AI Angels is a simpler starting point.
Is 3DXChat safe?
Download the client only from 3dxchat.com or its official Steam page, never from mirrors. Because you are chatting with real strangers, keep your real name, location and socials out of conversations, and use block tools if someone makes you uncomfortable. Payments were in transition when we checked, so confirm which methods are live before you pay, and be cautious with crypto as it is hard to reverse.
Who 3DXChat suits
Good fit if you…
want social roleplay with real people and enjoy building and customising.
Look elsewhere if you…
want a quick browser game, play mainly on a phone, or prefer a guaranteed partner on demand.

3DXChat FAQ
Is 3DXChat free?
No, 3DXChat is a paid membership, not a free-to-play game. Without a subscription the website works with limited features, while a 1, 6 or 12-month subscription unlocks the game client. In October 2026 card purchases were paused while the payment system was updated, so check the join page before paying.
Is 3DXChat safe and legit?
Yes, 3DXChat is a legitimate product run by 3DXChat Inc since about 2012, with an 18+ policy. The risks are practical: download the client only from the official site or Steam, keep personal details out of chats with strangers, and remember that crypto payments are hard to reverse.
Do I need to download 3DXChat?
Yes. You play through the 3DXChat client on your computer.
Does 3DXChat support VR?
Yes, the site has a section for VR and sex toy support.
Can I build my own places in 3DXChat?
Yes, a world editor lets members build locations and host events.
Can I get a refund from 3DXChat?
Usually not. Per its terms, a refund is only possible if you never installed the game, the charge was not a renewal, and you ask within 14 days.
How do I cancel 3DXChat?
To cancel 3DXChat, follow the cancellation guide in the official support FAQ, which also covers switching plans. Cancel before the next renewal, because refunds are rare: the terms only allow one if you never installed the game, the charge was not a renewal, and you ask within 14 days.
What are the best sites like 3DXChat?
The best 3DXChat alternatives depend on what you want. LifeSelector offers interactive live-action scenes, SexLikeReal and VRPorn suit VR headset owners, and Nutaku hosts a large catalogue of adult games such as Booty Calls. None of them recreate a shared social world quite like 3DXChat does.
